I left a post with a picture of two of my kids at the airport with no mention of where we were going. What suspense I must have left you all in!
We were on our annual Cannon Beach vacation on the Oregon Coast. It was so great in so many ways. I am always so surprised at how much fun we can have there year after year while doing the same things we've done in previous years (for the most part). That is a sign of a good vacation spot.
Until next year...

184- the best little travelers

The girls had just flown across the country. It was 2:00 AM New York time. They were tired, but we didn't hear a word of complaint between waking them up to get off the plane to waiting for luggage to getting in the car (3:00 AM for us at that point) for a long car ride.
Yes, they have had a lot of practice, but I'm always amazed when they can be such troopers while traveling in the middle of the night. They made it as easy as it could probably be for us traveling with three little kids.

183- these two sisters
I wasn't feeling well this morning so Hannah took care of Claire without me asking. She does it naturally and because she loves it. What's even better is that Claire lets her take care of her and she loves Hannah back. She responds so well to Hannah, probably because she senses how much Hannah really does care for her.
How's that for touchy-feely?
(Photo above was taken last weekend on our camping trip. Don't worry. It was a new fire ring-- there were no ashes in it :)

182- halfway there!

I have made half a year's worth of daily grateful posts. It has actually gone pretty fast.
I really like doing this, even though sometimes it can be hard. I think I need it right now. I'll just leave it at that.
*Technically, half of tomorrow would be half the year but this is close enough, I think.*
