I might have forgotten about this blog completely had I not received comments and emails inquiring about my absence from it.
I guess I've been busy transforming my life.
So, it happened. We moved. We have been in California for a little over a month, and it is an understatement when I say my life (and my family's lives) have changed drastically from life in NYC. Almost everything about where we go, what we do, what we see and who we interact with is different. Even though I don't know how to live this life as mine yet, I am happy to be here. We feel at peace about it.
We are living with family, for the time being, and it has been great. It's actually been quite fun. Not only have my BIL and SIL made our adjustment easier, but we have played and traveled and gone out on dates together. Eventually, however, we will be getting our own place, and then I will have to adjust on my own. Until then, my real life is on hold.
I'll consider it a vacation.

I thought about this! I thought about your transition to California and how it's a big change to leave your comfort zone and go across the country and I thought about how busy you are and have been. I am looking forward to seeing some california pictures!
Just this weekend I thought, "I should email Julie to see how Minna is doing." Glad to see you are adjusting to your new life in my home state. :)
Great to see you back! Congrats on the move! California is indeed lovely. I was just in San Diego last week enjoying the sun and warmth. Fun!
YES, YES, YES, I keep checking to see if you are around! I am so glad that you made the transition. YES it will be hard from one coast to the other and the weather, well...that will speak for itself! Family is good to be with! So glad they could accommodate you for as long as you need! I bet you will love CA, are you close to the ocean? So glad that you are back, lets see some pics! I will keep checking!
I was just thinking about you and am glad to have come by. Good to see you again! Yes, California would be totally foreign for me too. I hope you're not missing the Big City too much!
