Our Christmas card, sort of

I really wanted to get Christmas cards out this year. It just didn't happen. I've come to terms that I'm a Christmas card failure.
But I would like to extend our well wishes to all of you that read this blog, if any of you are still out there ;)
So, from me and my family to you and yours...



Maybe I'll get cards out next year, and maybe there will be pictures of me and my husband along with our girls.
We need to work on that.

My niece

I really enjoyed spending some time with my niece over Christmas in Seattle, even though I have seen her three other times this year. They change so much at this age and she is really getting some personality. Hannah loved playing with her.

Has it been that long?

I know it's been a while, not that anyone out there was wondering ;)
I'm just busy relaxing and enjoying my holiday in Seattle with my ginormous family. It's so fun to come home to see everyone, especially nieces and nephews that have grown up so much. Speaking of...

I just chopped off this girl's beautiful hair only because she begged me.
I know you can't really see her hair in this picture, but I took it right before I cut it. That and it's cute :)

*Thanks and Giving* Update

Thanks for all of your nominations!
I couldn't just choose one so I have decided to give two families complimentary photo sessions. It is my gift of time, and that is something I can definitely sacrifice for such a worthy thing.

I was able to talk with one of the recipients on Sunday. The joy she expressed in the form of tears filled my heart, and I knew that what I was doing was so right. I am so happy to be able to do this for her and her family.

It feels good

While my camera was gone, I realized I take for granted that I can take great pictures of my kids any time. Not that you can't take great pictures of your kids with a point-and-shoot, but the conditions were never right so I didn't use it to photograph my kids. It felt so good today to easily snap a few of Hannah and for them to come out just as I expected.

Hannah loves this camera as much as I do.
