Thanks and Giving

I've been wanting to do this for a long time...

I have been given many talents. Photography is one of them. I feel I have been blessed with this talent so that I can bless other people's lives. I am so thankful for it, and for the opportunities people have given me to use it.

To show my gratitude, I want to give one deserving person or family a free photo session. I am looking for some family that has had some hardship and wouldn't have the means to hire a photographer, or for someone that is always giving of themselves without expecting anything in return, or for any other reason you feel someone needs this opportunity.

If you know of such a one person or family, nominate them. They need to be someone whom a free photo session would benefit the most. I want it to be more than a free session-- I want it to help someone, to give someone something they could cherish.

This person or family needs to live in the New York City area, but for an extra extra special case, I may be willing to make an exception :)
Please email me [on my sidebar] your submissions by December 1st. Tell me about the person and/or family and why they deserve this photos session, and if possible, include a photo. Please also let me know where they live.

I am really excited about this! I hope I can share my talents by helping a family in need.

Thank you!

Feel free to email me with any questions.

I didn't mean to leave you hanging with the "exciting announcement". It's just that I am sick and I haven't gotten around to the post. I don't even have the energy to find a picture for this post.

I'll announce soon...

PS- I am not pregnant :)

Out of Service

I was so excited after I finished a hat for Claire this morning. I got her all dressed up, or down, with just the hat and set the bed up. Then I went to get my camera. Ugh! No camera!

I had to send my camera off to get fixed. I am not sure what is wrong with it, but I hope I get it back soon. Needless to say I will have to hold off on scheduling any new sessions.
I may be posting pictures from previous sessions that I never got around to posting, or I might just use my husband's Canon Powershot point-and-shoot camera. It sounds crazy, but I don't really know how to use the thing. Nevertheless, life must be captured!

And stay tuned for an exciting announcement!

Cousins

These beautiful boys are cousins. They are both so sweet, I wanted to scoop both of them up myself and just squeeze. Just look at those eyes! *sigh*

The effects of a tropical storm struck New York so we had our session inside.
Here are just a few.

I'll have many more to show you soon, moms and dads.
Thanks!

And then, she looked at me...

My favorite photo, and look, from today.

Still my baby

It has been too long since I took time to photograph my kids. The time is always now, especially with this one while she changes so fast. She is still my baby though.
She is such a bright light in my life-- so sweet, so happy, so cuddly...

and so cute, if I do say so myself ;)

Families in the Park

Central Park was chock full of photographers just like me taking pictures of families. I would see a photographer and a family behind me and after the next few shots, I would turn around and a new photographer and family had taken the their place. It's that time of year.
Well, I got to photograph this family today, again in Central Park.

Fall makes the park so much fun.
Thanks for today, you guys!

Finding time...

I just can't find the time to relax and blog like I want to, but I will throw these doors of Newport, Rhode Island on here for your viewing pleasure.

All of these doors have a personality of their own, a most likely representation of their owner's.
What does your door look like? ;)
