She is so big, so different. She has made this transition to a mother of three as easy as I can imagine it to be.

We're off to a good start with Project Jane...

Project Jane

I have a mission: to get more, MANY more, photos of my second daughter.
I was looking for photos of her recently to put in some new frames, but I had the hardest time finding any, smiling or not. It's not that I don't try to photograph her. She's just not a very willing subject and I often get images that resemble a hairy, blurred creature--that would be her running away. If I am lucky, I get one of these:


She has such a colorful personality and I really feel I haven't showcased it nearly well enough. So in the next few weeks I will be focusing on capturing her, for better or worse.
I hope she's ready!

Just playin'

My girl here is either going to love or hate textiles. Personally, I love them. I try to wrap her up in some variety of them every day. I also love packaging things. She is a fun little bundle, but she is getting too big!!! We're just about past the molding stage with her when she'll take any shape we give her. So sad. No more Ball o' Baby :(

Today

Admittedly, I didn't have a very good day today, BUT


I just loved walking under tons and tons of this.

And...


I loved this look my two-year-old gave me. Her eyes are her greatest asset... and weapon, or are they the same thing?

And...


I loved eating this, what was left of it at least. My husband graciously taste tested it for me-- he's good at quality control.

And I just know I am going to love going to bed tonight :)

Perfect toes

They even smell good. Is that weird that I'm smelling her toes?

Maybe after I've shown you every li'l bit of her sweet baby self will I show something else.

The role of big sister

Today was my first test as a mother of three-- I'm on my own, during the day at least, as my mother has left. I had to let her go :(
Hannah has tried hard to pick up where my mom left off. She has been such a help, my right-hand girl. She even brushed my hair. I'm amazed at what a child of barely four years is capable of.
I don't know what I'd do if she wasn't OK with all this new baby stuff. She plays the role of the oldest child very well.

One week new

It's been a week of pure heaven,
minus the usual postpartum ailments and unpleasantries,
but still, heaven is the only word I can use to describe this girl when I look at her and hold her.

It was so fun to have my own baby be the subject of a newborn photo shoot today.
I'll try not to flood my blog with the likes of her,
but could you blame me if I did? ;)

I am so amazed at how much I feel with each child I have. I didn't even know if this baby was a girl or a boy and yet I had an undefinable, everlasting love for her before she even came. Now that she is here, I see how she was meant to be a part of our family. I have never loved so much.
