I'm back from our family beach vacation. As always, we had a wonderful time.
But...
Unfortunately, the hard drive on our laptop died. My previous problems were with our back-up external hard drive which turned out to be an easy fix, but it was just my luck to have our computer crash while we were out of town with no way for me to import photos to empty my camera. I saved the space on my only flash card (note to self: have more than one flash card on hand always!) for photos of my new niece and my six-month-old nephew. It's a 4 GB card but since I shoot RAW, it fills up fast. I did manage to get some details of our hike through the forest down to Short Sands (Oswald West) just south of Cannon Beach.

It's such a beautiful place- almost magical. I so miss big evergreens and ferns.

As for Cannon Beach, I didn't take too many photos but my husband took a kite aerial photo of the beach from where we stayed.
(see other KAP here.)

I'll share some baby pics soon. Who doesn't love those?

I love the pics you did get. You have such an amazing way of finding the most beautiful details. Like the one string of sea weed, who'd have thought that could be so lovely?! I also really like the stacked rocks shot.
Welcome back and I'm glad that you had such a good time, minus the computer issues, of course.
Welcome back! You got some wonderful pics. I can imagine how frustrating it was to be limited when shooting in such a beautiful place. Now I am frantically searching for the extra memory card I bought when my computer crashed. Where did I put it?! :)
